Protector Vehicle Interlock Breathalyser |
Discreet and easy to use. Turn ignition to ON, turn breathalyser handset ON, once it has warmed up it displays "blow" and will beep to let you know it's ready to go. Now blow into the breathalyser handset. If the result is less than 0.020%BAC the vehicle will start. If it's 0.020%BAC or above you're going nowhere!
The handset is fully detatchable so you can perform a self test at home or in the pub before getting in your car. Your batteries must not be flat for the handset to work detached.
The Protector Interlock fits to most vehicles, simply and easily and can be installed by your local auto electrician.
The fuel cell sensor needs to be recalibrated after every 800 uses. The usage counter on the breathalyser handset can be viewed by holding down the on button for 3 seconds. After reaching 800 uses, please send the breathalyser handset to AlcoLimit for recalibration. AlcoLimit can arrange a rental handset for the time your breathalyser handset is away, if needed.
The Protector Interlock is ideal for everyone concerned about driving under the legal limit and not losing their drivers license. For family members or friends who are susceptible to drinking and driving. For work vehicles to ensure they aren't driven by staff over the limit.
AlcoLimit Original now incorporates Flow Control Technology. AlcoLimit's Flow Control Technology means that the sensor checks the flow rate of your breath and must receive an adequate air sample before it will provide you with a reading. This is just one of the safety measures built into the AlcoLimit range.
AlcoLimit's Intelli-sensor Recognition Technology checks the sensor condition every time you use your breathalyser. Stability of the sensor is analysed as well as the level of alcohol residue built-up on the sensor. An indication will be given if the sensor needs recalibration.
Please Note: for accurate results users must wait at least 20 minutes after the cessation of drinking before testing. Use prior to this time will result in inaccurate readings and shorten the lifespan of the sensor.
Recalibration
Recalibration is required to maintain the prescribed accuracy. Each time alcoholic breath is blown into the breathalyser, alcohol residue deposits on the sensor. Over time, this leads to over-inflated readings as the unit reads the residue on the sensor plus the alcohol on your breath.
Recalibration frequency is generally every 9-12 months for personal use and 1-3 months for professional use.
Visit the AlcoLimit Home Page for details and to organise to have your breathalyser recalibrated.
