AlcoLimit Original now incorporates Flow Control Technology. AlcoLimit's Flow Control Technology means that the sensor checks the flow rate of your breath and must receive an adequate air sample before it will provide you with a reading. Please Note: for accurate results users must wait at least 20 minutes after the cessation of drinking before testing. Use prior to this time will result in inaccurate readings and shorten the lifespan of the sensor.

Recalibration
Recalibration is required to maintain the prescribed accuracy. Each time alcoholic breath is blown into the breathalyser, alcohol residue deposits on the sensor. Over time, this leads to over-inflated readings as the unit reads the residue on the sensor plus the alcohol on your breath.

Recalibration frequency is generally every 9-12 months for personal use and 1-3 months for professional use.
