A curved profile (BNC) has been designed to increase resistance to tooth jump in transmission systems that require belts with reduced widths. It also provides higher performance in respect resistance to fatigue and torque transmission than earlier trapezoidal profiles (‘S’/’SH’). The ‘BNC’ belt is suitable for both petrol and diesel engines providing reduced noise, high transmission torque around reduced diameter pulleys.
